One More Extra Stage?

How do you trigger One More Extra Stage on Stepmania? It's not simply AA'ing Extra Stage.

And is there a way to change the Extra Stage/One More Extra Stage modifiers? 'Cuz on the machines, Extra Stage doesn't use Dark anymore.

uh, well. You can always turn the event mode off. That gets me extra stage every time. and I don't know how to change extra stage modifiers. Just play it like that. It's the whole point of the bonus.

I meant when you have Event Mode off. You can't get Extra Stages unless EVent Mode is off.

I tried AA'ing a song on Extra Stage and I didn't get OMES. Do you have to do a specific song to get it?

I actually don't know about that. I only do Heavy and challenge songs and get AA's on them. Maybe it has to do with the difficulty and grades of your songs. or at the end, your total average has to be an AA.

You could try it this way.
Make a CRS file using notepad and name it extra2.
Using the notepad, type in the following:

#COURSE:One More Extra Stage;

#SONG:DDR SuperNOVA\CHAOS:Challenge:3x,Reverse,death;

This is just an example. Instead of "DDR SuperNOVA", type in the mix folder where the song you want as the OMES is in. Replace "CHAOS" with the song you want as the One More Extra Stage.
Now, place the .crs file in the mix folders. You could put them in all the mix folders so no matter what mix you're in for Extra Stage, you can play OMES with a song from a different mix. Or you could just place the .crs files only on certain mixes to create different Extra Stages and OMES in each genre.

no no your doing it wrong... in each of the song directories you add a course file called extra1.crs and extra2.crs... extra1 is of corse your initial extra stage, it'll be formatted like so:

#SONG:directory/song:MANIAC(SMANIAC if oni):1.5x,reverse,norecover;

thats with the current extra stage settings.. now to get OMES, you have to AA that specific song. to setup OMES (this is where extra2 comes in)

#SONG:directory/song:SMANIAC:3x,reverse,suddendeath;

have just that line in the crs file as before. (^^)V

OMES doesn't exist in SM, so you have to do it like touga kiryuu said or put it in the metrics of your theme. also, to change the mods, i think you can do so in the metrics as well.

EX and OMES do exist even without these files, its just a matter of stepmania picks it at random based on all the songs in the directory you played your final song in. Usually, it picks the song with the highest average on the radar, and does so again when OMES comes up

To get OMES you have to AA the song that comes up for ES, on heavy (or whatever difficulty it picks for you, if you have pick extra stage turned off). As far as I know that's all you need...

Actually, I remembered that only one song (of all of them that I had) triggered a "One More Extra Stage" when I AA'd it in the extra stage. So, there is probably some way to control it.

i've done it and had nothing happen. i believe i AA'd all 4 stages that round, too.

You must either be doing it wrong or have something set wrong (maybe the extra2.crs is compulsory?). I got the OMES many times when testing VJAMix using that method.

well maybe you have pick extra stage on. I played at home and had a set extra stage (i couldn't change the song) and AA'd it and got OMES. Then i DLed beware's DDR Ex simulation and played extra stage and pick extra stage was on, AAed it and didn't get OMES. So if you have pick ex stage on try turning it off.

I've tested with it both on and off, I've been able to get OMES either way.

It's on by default in VJAMix and that still has a functioning OMES as long as you AA the extra stage song and not some other song.
