Playback problem in SM from DDreamstudio

Hey there,

Just managed to make my first song in DDreamstudio. I followed the tutorial doc from the net. Got the beats autoadded in fine..and it plays back fine in DDreamstudio.

But when I try to play it in Stepmania, although the arrows do meet the top arrows with correct timing, they are FLYING very fast up from the bottom of the screen. Gives me no time to think about which arrow to hit next. (Wondering what I did wrong)

Can anyone help? Thanks...

Just adjust the BPM to a lower level. Maybe you have it on too high? Sounds like you have it on 500+ BPM.

Yes, that did work, thank you! I didn't fully understand how to do BPM before.. so I must have done Autofill more than once.. with 7 inserted between each.. lol ><

I did the song over, now it's nearly perfect. The only problem I'm having now is later in the song, the beat changes slightly then takes off again - so I guess I have to manually fix those? (Will have another look at the tutorial doc)

Can't wait to actually try it - it's great fun, if we can get this to work!

BTW, if there are any updated tutorial docs could someone point me to them? The one I've been reading is "GETTING STARTED WITH DDREAMSTUDIO 0.80+" - not sure if it's up to date.

For the part where you need to do manual changes, you can draw a window, select the beats, and drag them downwards.

In general, you can drag any beat that needs to be customized.

or, shift+mwheel before the beat you want shifted and it will push all beats up/down from that point.

Note: Go to sync mode before you edit beats (L->click the bottom launch button)
