By the way, I can't record sound on my computer (No Mic), but that really doesn't matter since I already have the songs and just have to sync them up... I don't think this would affect the overall recording in any way, though.

As for the sound thing, under options, choose 'Record audio from speakers'; then go to Audio Options-Audio Options for Speakers, and either manually or automatically search for your 'line'.
After that, recording both audio and video should go somewhat more smoothly. Hope it helps~

I tried both those... both had rather choppy recording still, and Fraps only let me record for 30 seconds (I'm not going to go buy anything, by the way). I just don't know

If it's choppy still then you have one of two problems...
Either your system is dead old (Pentium 3 or older) or you don't have a good enough video card or don't have one period outside of integrated ones that suck.
Buying a new comp or getting a new vid card would probably help. If it's a relatively new comp then I would wonder if you have Vista or something...

It was like, 30 FPS, but it wasn't choppy.
Run DXDiag and tell us what your video card is like.

Under the system tab...
- Processor
- Memory
- DirectX Version
Under the display tab...
- Device Name
- Device Apx. Total Memory
Post those here. | |

Celerons are low-end processors anyways. They're definitely not the best suited for anything in terms of video.

With those specs, my pc was just able to run stepmania (albeit some lags can happen) and it can get real messy with randommovies/bg videos and some announcers.
