Sim file creation - Speed up help

Hi, I'm a newbie to making simfiles for stepmania. I currently already made several files and have yet to upload them. But one thing that concerns me while I play it is the speed. I play some songs and they are pretty fast when that are played at x4 speed.

To get the x4 speed that some of these other simfiles are getting, I have to push my speed up to C600.


How do I set up the settings in my "to-be-made" simfiles to make it faster?

The x4 speed mod simply makees it scroll at 4 times the BPM of the song. A 170 BPM song will scroll at 680 BPM with 4x, but a 300 BPM song will scroll at 1200 BPM with 4x. You have to consider the BPM of the song to determine which speed mod you want to use.
The C600 mod will make the song scroll at 600 BPM at all times regardless of BPM changes or stops. There are some that consider it similar to cheating, and it will mess up on any song with negative BPM.

Sometimes, players prefer to use the C-typed speed mods because of its benefits as Meseki said and for me it's really a big crap of a cheat. But if I were you, just play it in a standard DDR speed mods than those C-typed (C100, etc.).
