How can I change the background in my song? Everytime I try it it shows no picture.

ok i need some help here....I made the .sm file, i put it into a folder with a background image and the mp3 and stepmania isnt reading the file. What went wrong? Help please!

OK i've got this problem where SM won't use the banner and bg I put into the folder. It sees them (i.e. I can use them in the BG editor in the SM editor), but won't load them as bn and bg.

heres the SM:

The bn and bg names are exact to the corresponding filenames. The banner is 256X80 and the bg is 320X240. They have also been named: Flyaway.png and Flyawaybg.png, fly_away.png and fly_away-bg.png

Help would be greatly appreciated.

The pictures in my folder are called Fly with me-bg.png and fly with me so wat you do is just type in exactly what you named it with a .(whatever file type your using)

thanks itgfreak925. I changed every file and the folder to the same name (except background, which had an extra "-bg") and that worked.

You are always welcome. And if you dont fell like making the.sm file yourself just go to your stepmania folder, then program, then smpackage then you click on create song. All you do is click on the song and then fill in the notes.

ok...i have a file that only works with DWI but not with SM. I don't exactly know what the the problem is. What can I do to fix this?

What type of file is it that youre using that doesnt work with stepmania.
