Default Simfile Editing Problem

Hey there Bemani community. I don't post here really, but I thought maybe someone could help me with a problem.

I finally started editing my own Simfiles for fun, but I'm having a problem. I'm using Stepmania 4, and when I play back a song, or record, it's always off. I got the BPM right, and it plays fine sometimes, but when I go to edit a certain section, it's off again.

So to get it right I need to play the song all over again to get it at the right measure, and then when I got edit it again, it's off sync again. I don't uderstand, did I do something wrong? Is my DWI file messed up or something?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

i would advise making simfiles in 3.9, 3.95 if you need rolls

4.0 is buggy as hell

Silly question, but you got both the bpm -and- the beat 0 offset (ie gap) right?

That happens to me, even in Stepmania 3.9. I think I know what you mean. It's probably the mp3 that sometimes makes the sync go fine but when a certain part of the song is played, it goes off.

Open an audio editing program and save it again. If it doesn't work, make it a .wav, then convert it to .mp3.
