SM editor modification...

Ok, seriously, I'm sick of this and can't seem to find it myself... is there any lines in any of the stepmania code that I can change to make it so that the opening options of the StepMania editor are not 1x Note? I hate that shit.

Don't know about the 1x thing, but by the noteskin side...

Preferences.ini:

EditorNoteSkinP1=note

Change it to whatever you like

Ok, is my SM on crack? 'cause I don't have a 'preferences.ini' nor do I have any files that contain the line "EditorNoteSkinP1". I checked.

LOOOL, I was checking my SM4 Preferences.ini xD

*checks his StepMania.ini* hmm, not there =/

EDIT: it isn't in the metrics either. Sorry, unless you get SM4, you'll have to live with it <.<

When you get in there, ctrl-down. Takes waht, 1 second. Deal with having 1x for almost no time at all.

Since I'm going into the options menu to change from Note to Metal skin... this is completely USELESS information kthx.

Plus I already knew about this. But while hyper-sync'ing it'd be really great to not have to change the options every time a load a song... *sigh* why can't it be like play mode where it just stays where I put it?

1. Go into the noteskins folder.
2. Move or rename the Note noteskin
3. Copy and rename your skin of choice to "Note".
4. Go into SM Editor, CTRL+DOWN, edit steps.

Or you could, ya know, just switch the names back when you're done editing.
