Speed mod problem

By default when I begin playing Stepmania, my speed modifier is always set to 1.5x by default. I've cleared the machine settings, looked everywhere in the actual program for an option to change it, and I've had no luck. Anyone know how I can reset it back to normal speed?

I'm not on my playingmachine right now, so I don't know exactly, but try checking a .ini file called "preferences" in the "data" folder, I THINK. Open the file with notepad, and look for your speedmod. Erase it, save and restart the game.

I just looked and there is nothing of that name.

If you are using SM3.9: Delete the mod from DefaultMods= in StepMania.ini, it's in (StepMania folder)/Data

If you are using 4: do the same thing in (home folder/my documents)/StepMania CVS/Saves/Preferences.ini

I searched throughout the file for that and anything similar. No luck, couldn't find anything like that.

Check GamePrefs.ini as well; it may be in there.

do you have a USB drive plugged into the computer?

Also, it could be in the metrics for the theme you're using. I've had themes override my options before.

The line is called DefaultModifiers=
It should be in StepMania.ini / Preferences.ini (depending of your SM version) or in the first lines of a theme's metrics.
