Thats why it in CVS.

Of course they are many bugs.

At least it playable... without SM4 you can't play StepManiaOnline.

well there is 3.95 CVS to play online too.

I have it... not great on editing purposes but play wise both Online and Offline, its alright.
Alot of new features... I dunno all of them. And more going to add since it "Beta" or CVS stages.

I have Stepmania 4.0

so far it seems to work great with me. The backgrounds don't stay for the songs but other then that I haven't found any other things that really annoy me. So sure, I would suggest it to another. (Actually, I already have lol)

Turn OFF BGAnimation

I think, I f remember currently without looking into SM loaded.

Options -> Background Options -> BG Animations -> OFF

well, once you in there it should be noticeable to see OFF, hehee!

I had it for a while, It's not that bad but other then the graphic changes I don't see too much diffrences other then it doesn't support any of the themes previous versions allowed..

yeah i just noticed that. and most of the noteskins don't work on it.

Doesn't the SMPackage program have the abilty to convert themes to 4.0(or was I just dilusional at the time..ehh too lazy to check)

my friends tried that with techno feind v.3 and it dosn't work.

Other than the theme gripes, I don't have any complaints. SMO is now built-in and Hopefully the final build (or later CVS builds) will add more features.

The only other things that bother me is they changed the names of the scoring elements (Marvelous=Fantastic now, etc.) and for some reason everytime I try and hold a freeze arrow it gives me a NG. I also don't really like the new graphics too much, so I'll stick with my 3.9 rc3 and my TM5 theme.

its solid and seems to work just fine for me. I complie the source myself every week or so.

one thing. is it just me or does the placement of the 4 constant arrows at the top of the screen seem just a bit lower than from SM 3.9? It could just be my imagination however

I know it's plyable, but I hate everything about it

Deafult NoteSkin, theme, etc.

I want it all to be like my 3.9, and I want rolls, too
Most of my StepMania stuff is ITG-based, so yeah

I know 4.0 CVS has rolls...but they look whack
