Stepmania question

I've been wanting to know this for quite some time. How do you adjust the number of feet on the difficulty level for songs? I apologize if this is an FAQ, but I couldn't find it.

For 4.0: Goto Edit/Sync Songs on the main menu.

Choose your song.

Press ESC and select Edit Steps Information. You'll see Difficulty, Meter and Description lit. Meter is the feet setting. Just use the left and right arrow keys to ajust it. And hit enter when your done.

For 3.9: same thing except it's Edit Step Statistics.

And there you go.

Also, be sure to save the file before exiting 3.9. 4.0 will automatically ask you if you'd like to save if you choose to exit step editor.

Adding on to Shazza's, you can also use the DWI file of your simfile. Just open it in notepad and go down to where it says:

#SINGLE:MANIAC:9:

or something close to the lines of that and change the number to the amount of feet you want. For instance, if you wanted a 10 foot song it would be:

#SINGLE:MANIAC:10:

Of course it's easier to use Shazza's way but this is still a way to change the steps.

How can i get to the 2nd and 3rd Stage on Stepmania?

If you're talking about the 2nd and 3rd stages of songs on the game, you just have to beat one song and then it will go to the second stage. Beat that and it will go to the third stage. This is also barring, of course, that you have event mode turned off. If you have event mode turned on, then you just do one song after the other as many times as you want without having to stop every three songs and enter in your initials just to get a friggin' score.

So, yeah, I hope that answers your question. If not, then I obviously don't know what i'm talking about and should automatically ban myself from this site for sheer stupidity.lol

go to options> coin option and set it to your desired mode: free , pay or none then select the number of songs to play. this is how you will see the stage 4-5-6 note that event mode must be off in order to play in the arcade mode.
