Stepmania's getting laggy.

Suddenly I've been having problems with Stepmania geeting really laggy on me. I've noticed my scores have been going down, and a lot of songs seem to be about 1/16 beat of sync. Everything just seems to have somewhat of a hazy effect.

One thing is it seems this started to happen after I installed a certain theme I got off of stepmaniathings.com; I think the theme was called Cityscape. I went to go change the theme, and it st art ed t o r un re a ll y slow... Then I took it off, and deleted it. It seems it started lagging around then. Does anybody know if that preticular theme has problems, and if so what I can do?

And if it's not that could it just be that I have to many songs in SM, or something else. I really don't want to have to delete songs, I only have like 650, but this computer is a little old so... Well, it's still plenty SM compatable.

did you try uninstall SM/reinstall?

Did you try deleteing some stuff off your Hard Drive you don't need? It may be getting full.

I just thought of doing that. I tried, and I don't think it helped in any way.

No, there's still plenty of room on the hard drive.

Oh, yeah. Also, last night before I reinstalled I was messing with the themes, and everytime I changed the theme the sound got a fuzzy and staticky, and then it got really, really laggy. I would exit, and it would go away.

Try defraggin, it definately wouldn't help.
