I've thought of that but it'll either load one of the directories or neither of them.

Edboy: delete your cache directory until it does this correctly. As for the ^_^ thing, either:

a) remove the

tag from the artist name in the charts or
b) make sure that

is supported in the language file and has a font :P

Holic: just copy/paste and rename :P

Could you tell me the exact keys to press to get to the centre image/windowed mode (i.e. three down, enter, four down, enter, left, ...) ? So then I can do it without being able to see (it's been centered off-screen). I tried re-installing but it remembers the preferences.

I'm using my Cobalt Flux with the RedOctane Universal PS/PS2 Controller Adapter, and I if I hold Down, Up won't register (but holding Up and hitting Down works fine), and if I hold Right, Left won't register (again, holding Left and hitting right seems to work fine.).

I already checked the link in the first post, changed it to Dance Mode, and it still doesn't work. I tried holding Up+Start+Select, but that didn't do anything either (although it didn't say where to do that. >_> ).

My CF works fine on my PS2 (haven't really used it with my Xbox much, but I don't remember it working very well there either, and I don't have it with me right now so I haven't tested it), so I'm pretty sure this is a problem with my converter. Any idea how to fix it? D:

Edit- Nevermind, I re-mapped the controls and it works now.

I have a big problem can someon ehelp me with Bg Videos how can i make certain Videos appear for certain songs someone please help I am lost please i am New at Stepmania

How do I fix shortcut problem...? My F8 key (to increase BMP) doesn't work!!... and my other keys are messed up... This is very annoying... I am on the brink of destroying my computer...

Putting it in the same folder as the song should do it.
You might have to changed the name to something or edit the .sm to read it but I'm not sure about that...

I have StepmaniaX v5 installed on my Xbox. I have a RedOctane v2 pad with an original xbox cord connection to it. It won't allow me to perform simultaneous "Up and Down" or "Left and Right" presses. Can I fix this in the input option settings?

From the little XP I have with xbox dance-pads, they just don't work with the xbox. However people do use them so maybe I just have bad experiances...

I'm getting some wierd like... fuzzballish noise everytime stepmania goes to make any sounds...

It only happens in StepMania & has only just started happening... I've been using it months & it's been fine... I checked my sound/audio drivers & they're all up-to-date...

I can't seem to find what's wrong in the SM Options, because they're about 80% default... =/

Anyone else had this problem & knows how to fix it?

Maybe your speaker are blown? Stepmania runs REALY LOUD so it could make it more obvius than just watching a movie or something.

i recently converted all my elements to 4.0 and none of my songs are working!

also, the main screen is fuzzy

Your name sounds familiar to me. Do you post on RSC?

And I believe you're probably talking about a theme... converting 3.0 themes won't work just using the theme options in the stepmania tools menu. You need to know how to change the metrics on your own as well.

4.0 is in nightlies.
As fas as I've hurd they all are quite bad so far.
So I'm holding on to my 3.9 final.
It's a shame that the Firefox nightlies are awesome and SM's nightlies are crap but that's life for ya :-P
