Anyone got any ideas to fix my prob? I even tried re-installing...

Sounds work fine everywhere else... just no stepmania...

Anyway to restore SM to default settings? Maybe I broke something in the settings?

Is mute set on in Stepmania? Hit Pause Break and it'll tell you and possibly turn your sound on ^__^;

And I believe you're probably talking about a theme... converting 3.0 themes won't work just using the theme options in the stepmania tools menu. You need to know how to change the metrics on your own as well.

yeah i do, now how do i change the metrics so it wont go fuzzy? Or can i just reinstall the program and copy the songfiles on there?

hey everybody! im sorta new to stepmania but ive been playing ddr for about 2and a half years. um... im 15 and i live in chicago. ive had stepmania for about a week and have a little over 1100 songs. so for that as my introduction, i made my first song yesterday. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RC0G69HE it's this awesome trance/dance song by DJ ITALIAN FLIP. it took me about 4 hours to do so please tell me what you think and critisism/tips would be nice too. i also have some questions. how do you add like cd titles or banners or whatever theyre called to like each group? also, how do you make backgrounds and pictures for like the song?

Question: Is there any possible way to change the colors of the titles? E.g., make a title red as a "boss song" or blue, etc., or is it encoded to choose a random color?

Alright so i understand the whole problem with stepmania not being able to register opposite axes. My adaptar says it has that dance pad mode thingy but it isnt working for some reason. So is their anyway i can manually remap the arrows to action buttons without having to solder it? One of my friends said finding a driver that lets you do this but i tried googling it and got nothing. the adaptar didnt come with any cd's either =/

No there IS sound...

There's an extra, fuzzy echo blurst whenever stepmania makes noises...

I honestly don't know them, or how to get them...

I've been using StepMania for months & it's never done this before... & I haven't changed my computer stuff... I don't even remember changing the Stepmania settings...

Having a problem with my profile on SM 3.9.

Only recently, it will not recognize my profile. It just says NoName where your profile would be present. In the profile options I have a profile created (Dark Rubes) and it's selected. I even made sure the 2P side did not have it selected as well. However, it's still saying NoName. I even erased the profile and created a new one and I still got the same message. I'm wondering if I have to go in to .ini settings?

Help?

EDIT: I got into the program today and it had the profile name at the bottom like always. Maybe it just had to reboot, which is what happened when I played today.

Um, the assist tick on my copy of Waverer Slide mix doesent click when the arrows go by, it clicks WAY before. Any Ideas? Ive been tweeking with that song trying to get it on beat, because my copy was off when I got it.

Sorry for the double post, but Every song in stepmania is skrewed up now, there all way off. How do you change the machines global offset?

the global offset is in the stepmania.ini

Also, GigaSeifer; the next thing I can think of is try swapping out the Stepmania.ini in the /Data folder with one from a fresh stepman install and see if that works.

Im sorry, that helped me none. I also cant get any of the stepmanias to work on this comp now, cuz I deleted the whole thing, save the songs. should I go dwi? how different is that?
