Super Dual Box Problem

I had these pads and this adapter for two years. I installed the drivers that came with it and only P2 Slot works on it. I don't think the P1 Slot works at all.

Here is what I'm talking about:

These are the two pads I'm using. The one on the left is a React Dance pad from best buy with foam inserts (P1). The one on the right is a DDR GAME generic mat connected to the P2 (recognized as P1) Slot:

The dance pad code will only work with the P1 (P2 Slot) And I cannot get both of them to activate the code. When I open the Joystick Test Dialog, Only the P1 (P2) pad works.

The previous dance pad I had was a Kraft Pad that had a ton of joy axes problems, and got shredded easily with my cat's back claws.

Can some one help me please?

Would you be willing to pop it open so I can see the wiring in it?

I don't intend on opening it because that's the only adapter I have and I don't want to ruin it. However if this helps:

I used a flashlight because my cam doesn't have flash.

hell, a new one sells for about 13 bucks shipped on ebay. Just go snatch up a new one!
