By just installing StepMania, but when you choose where to install it, type your thumb drive's path.

You can run it wherever you want it, since the "installation" just copies the files. It doesn't write anything to the computer registry.

I've done this when I played StepMania at school

the computers were gay and like didn't accept things being saved to the hard drive and my little corner of the network drive wasn't big enough.

Just don't do it for too long, I heard it can overheat the usb (or something like that)

but yea this isn't anything new
