I just got a AAA on the other 18-foot Facinaltion. Only 1 song, Pluto Relenquish, that goes over 700 BPM at most? Wow! I better try that song out. Anyway, on DDRX, I created Inside Out by Eve 6, and it's a 20 footer! I can't give you the stepchart or anything like that, because it's on my DDRX PS2 game. Hard song, try creating it and playing it, that's all I can tell you about the song.

I did the song with 64th notes only, and I used 9999 notes, including 1200 Double Holds, 400 Triple Holds and 200 Quad Holds. I also used Triple Steps And Quad Steps as well. Anyway, it's possible to get the max possible combo on this song (9999). Also, after about 100 attempts, I finally got a AAA on Pluto Relenquish!

you guys

do not realize how foot rating is completely relative to the creator's standards and is pretty much meaningless ?

Actaully yeah. I do made simfiles having a rating of 18 in one of the musics that I've released. Imagine if I can pass that so hard yet need more practice for now...

I myself am I keyboard player, considering I'm physically disabled, but all of my mates do the 18s on foot and I must say that I'm impressed every time I see it. Some of those songs are hard on keys, let alone on your damn legs, lol.

The X scale is stupid. I can AA an 11-footer on x but can't beat a normal 10.

That obviously isn't a problem with the rating scale, as a 10 on X is equivalent to about a 7 on ITG/pre-X scale.

I think I read your post backwards. I had thought that you said you could AA an 11 (ITG scale) but couldn't pass a 10 (X scale).

Either way though, the X scale is definitely better than the old DDR scale, as it shows that stuff like bag and DEAD END (Groove Radar Special) are at totally different levels of difficulty, and it gave them a chance and reason to fix all of the ratings. You just have to know around what the conversion between old rating scale and X (at least for the higher end of difficulty):

7s are now like 9-10
8s are now around 10-12
9s are now 12-14
10s are now 15-18

And 19s and 20s are going to be really difficult, as there aren't any yet.

No, that's not what I mean.
The X scale is only on X, not other DDRs.
The normal scale (eg the one on the Wii) is way stricter and doesn't go above a 10.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that you think that the X scale is merely an extension of the old rating scale, which is not the case. The 1-10 section of the X scale is not meant to represent the all of the charts that don't exceed the 1-10 of the old rating scale.

For example: TimeHollow is a 6 on the old scale, but it is an 8 on the X scale. That is not supposed to be equal in difficulty to an old scale 8. Comparing the 1-10s of the X scale to the old scale is like comparing the 1-13s of Pump It Up to the In the Groove; just because they are the same number in two different rating scales does not mean they are even nearly the same difficulty.

E.G.: Beautiful Inside (Cubehard mix) on X is a 12 or something. On the Wii, it's a low 8. I'm saying it's crap because it makes songs sound harder than they really are.
