Marketplace Rating: 0 | well I noramally play with my pointer fingers somtimes both Index and pointer. So i'm four fingered lol. But I do say that depending on some songs though it's easy playing one handed. I can play one handed on Afronova and Daikenkai. That's all I can really think of off the top of my head.
I think that one handed is easy to a certain extent.

I can't play spread though, it's so confusing for my brain. X_x

Actually, I think my real problem when using one hand is when there is more than one button to press.

I myself have always been a two-hander since I started Stepmania and have difficulty when I try one hand because I can't hit the notes fast enough.

I've been some trying one-handed lately, and I guess that I can practice it up if I really want to.... I think the up-downstreams are the hardest for me to complete one-handed. But completing a song with one hand that someone else completes with two hands...just looks to damn cool. Like those 12+ footers.

This is true, at least for people around me and myself, I won't attest that it is true for everyone. Though I would suggest giving it a shot with this idea, it helps. | yeah, zan hit it on the head >_> basically, if you're good on the pad, and do 2 handed index, you mimic your style on the pad.. i find i do that quite a bit. i definitely enjoy doing the crossovers

Left arrow: Left middle finger
Down arrow: Left index finger
Up arrow: Right index finger
Right arrow: Right middle finger
Try that out.

Try that out. | I've been trying that since I last posted here, big improvements with my overall combos, and streams are a whole lot easier to do.
I still suck at jumps for some reason though

Now i play with 2 index fingers and can successfully AA most of my songs.
Now if i try playing with one hand i will fail straight away ^^;

So, In my opinion, whatever you start with, is what you're good at.
As for the question directed. I don't find it hard to complete 15 footers with one hand. Not boasting, cause I hate boasting in all forms. It's cause I have no life and play SM like a drug.
But I don't believe one handers should be able to use the excuse "I can't do that song cause I only play with one hand".
But that's my opinion. | Well sometimes that's not true because I used to play with one hand but soon i switched and even though it was hard at first, I got used to it in like a week and could do a lot better than I could using one hand.......................i lost all my skill on one hand ...but not that I had any in the first place!

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Possibly is my answer. I play with both hands, and like Zan has pointed out, I mimic how I play on a pad. Though I haven't touched a pad in what... 6 months or something? I forget. =\
I wouldn't say those who work with only one had have it harder, I just say it's based on preference and skill. That's it, mainly.
