Default Beat Beat Revolution: The First Progressive

I've searched for this and I couldn't find it, but if there is a thread for this then move/lock this. I found this a while ago, I'm not sure how old this is.

http://bbr.eucaly.net/bbr1st/bbr1st/bbr1st.swf

While it's not technically a simulator like Stepmania/Be-Pachi/SSRMAX, this was a cool .swf based IIDX simulator, complete with savable stats, mods, original songs, and even internet ranking for your Dj Name.

It looks pretty good and it appears to be styled mostly after Happy Sky, but the loading times can be a bit long, but it's still quite accurate to the real thing for a flash game. I'm not sure if they are still adding songs to this or making a new mix, but it seems to have been played a lot in Japan.

edit: looks like Robo2001 found it first on the Random Bemani Chat thread on Latin/South america

edit 2nd style: Going back to the main site, it looks like there has been a new mix announced as of the 10th of December, wonder how that's going to turn out

beatbeatrevolution is very good for a flash game, if it was keysounded it would be perfect. oh yeh and it is quite old, known about for about 6 months now

Yeah, I remember playing this at the beginning of last year or around that time so it has been around a while. A Japanese friend of mine sent me the link after finding it on 2chan because she remembered that I played IIDX. I never tried using my controller (not sure if you can) because I didn't have a PS2-USB converter at the time, so it was hard adjusting to the keyboard.

Kind of fun with some original songs, but Winter (or whatever the name) was almost the same thing as V.

I had the thing sitting in my favorites for 5 months, so I didn't see any threads about it, so I said why not =\

It's pretty interesting that a lot of the features that the actual game has were ported over to this game, especially internet ranking Now if it was keysounded, it would be perfect, just I'm guessing it would be pretty laggy, no?

The 2nd mix should be out soon, according to the site.

I checked the main site out, and it doesn't look like there is a public download for it.

But after looking there, I was dissapointed to find that the testing for 2nd mix was over. The screenshots for the new interface look pretty nice and there's a beginner mode now.

That was an absolute blast to play, Thanks for the link! I just lost over an hour of my life to playing through the [another] songlist. I love that it saves all of your scores and your DJ information even if you exit and re-enter the game!

Man, this is tough to play on the keyboard, but it's really impressive for a fan-made game. Thanks for sharing!

Sorry, didn't mean to come off with a "this is old" post. I was just trying to answer when I was sent the link to give an idea of at least how long it's been around. I can't believe I didn't share the link in this forum back when I was playing it, but I had kind of went under the radar during those months because of school. Anyway, great post; definitely a fun little game that kept me busy.
