Default BeMedia Ripper Question

I decided to rip my copy of CS DistorteD, so I could play Go Beyond on Lunatic Rave. I noticed that the BGM is much louder than the keysound files, and when I play them in Lunatic Rave, or my BME file editor that I can't hear the keysounds at some points in the song. Is there a way to fix this without the use of a sound editing program? And/or are there any other programs I can use to rip CS games?

Uh... Hmm...

It's a LOT harder to rip IIDX songs than you may think... Besides... Go Beyond and every other CS song up to 13 and AC song up to 14 is already a BMS file. Look on Shorl0k's site... There was a pack somewhere but can't find it now. I may upload it again if someone wants it. It was made by SoleField.

Yeah I've seen the site he uploaded them to, and besides it's not that difficult to rip them. Put in the game, use bemedia ripper to take out the keysounds/etc, change the .cs files to .bme with bemani2bme, and that's basically it. Now I would normally just download the files from the site, but they lack the videos, so I figured that I'd just do it on my own and since I'm already pretty slow on downloads since i have torrents running in the background it would just be easier to do it this way.

Edit: BTW even the copy on Sherl0k's site has the same problem with the BGM being too loud in certain parts.

Try lowering the background sound with the little slider. If you can figure out a suitable volume, tell me, so I can update my files as well.

The slider only works for 3rd-8th style. :/

Best solution ever: Use a free sound editor (Audacity, for example) to lower the audio file's volume.

Incorrect. The checkbox features are what only work for 3rd-8th style. The slider works globally regardless of what format you're converting. Your best solution for now is to use the audio editor though. Since not every song is exactly the same.

No, they have not been successfully implemented ever that I know of, and this is one of the biggest problems with simulating Beatmania perfectly.

There are no ways of implementing the missed note overlays right now. You can rip the others, I will try and post those here at some point.

isn't there a way to have certain overlays pop up during a video by putting some tags in the bme/bms files? i remember i had a bms file that had a bunch of pics numbered in order of appearance to make this background animation for a song and it was all in the bme/bms file. does lunatic rave support that sort of thing? why hasn't someone translated the config files and all the themeing files manually and all the features that lr can support, i don't mean like translate the whole program into english but i mean just like a text file explaining what it can do, support and what other files say and such. would help with making new themes and the like.

I'm curious my58, where in the BM data are the overlays even stored?
