Default Controller on "Turbo" with sims

I have a BMUS controller connected to a usb converter (Generic Chinese blue triangle one) and have tried multiple simulators (All I have found except lunatic rave). With all of them it seems my controller is on turbo, and when I hold down buttons it is registering tens of hits per second, or even if I just press them down I get several hits, resulting in multiple misses. And in menus when I turn the controller what I would consider one space or hit, it will go over 3 or 4 menu items. I have tried turning the polling rate up to 250hz, and saw no real benefit from it. Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

~Edit--

The controller works with BMUS on the playstation 2, and other controllers tested on the converter do not have this problem.

~2nd Edit---

I believe I found the problem, when I go to the USB hub under control panel it says that my hub supplies 500 mA, and that is the amount the controller uses. The problem arises then from the fact that I have my mouse, keyboard and headphones plugged in as well which each require 100mA. Does anyone know a way to send more power to the usb port, or should I go buy a PCI USB hub (ugh)?

ITT 4channer wannabes? ;P

If it's the converter I can walk down the street to Radioshack and buy a new one. I guess I should have assumed it was the converter from the beginning, I just didn't want to buy anything if i didn't have to.

Show me a picture of this Radioshack converter. Because i'm pretty sure I bought one of those a long time ago and its causing this "turbo" function to happen for me too.

Assuming I didn't break my camera over my hip snowboarding I would so just wait on it and I'll post a pic of one in the box.

Also, I've just returned from Radioshack, and the worker there said they had stopped stocking them quite some time ago.

-- Any advice on a good, non-radioshack, converter?

The worker lied.

I bought one in NYC a few days ago.

I just checked with a secondary Radioshack, and the worker there said the same thing, and added that any still being sold at the stores are leftovers, and that they don't make(rebrand?) or restock them anymore.

Regardless, any good non-Radioshack converters that will work with dance pads, and not go turbo on IIDX?

You could try using a parallel port system...
