Yea, unfortunately most makers have seen fit to completely ignore most people who play games that don't use the stupid axes!

What operating system are you using the program with? If it's Vista then don't bother.

I've never heard of such an issue before. Have you looked around on google?

Yes.. I saw a couple person asked the same question, but no one reply to it..
Its weird, because I have never changed the usbport.sys by myself..

The USB Mouserate Switcher 1.1 has not been updated for over 2 and a half years and is essentially considered a dead project. During this time usbport.sys has been updated, and so the hex value that the program used to target has moved place.

This may be of interest to anyone who has Windows XP and still wishes to update their USB polling rate:
http://spikeh.yurx.com/usbtwkr.rar

Verified to work on the latest version of usbport.sys version 5.1.2600.3020.

Thanks for the update. I'll keep a watch for information on changing the polling rate in Windows Vista.

I have that GameOn thing from Walmart which actually works pretty good. You can tell there's lag, but IIDX is still playable for the most part. I'll try that polling change when I get home. I hope it works.

For everyone that sees this, disregard my post in the other thread.

I can testify that the EMS USB 2 is garbage. However, it's subtle in it's shittiness. If you play with the keyboard and then play with your controller, you can definitely notice a difference. Oh and I have my USB overclocked to 1000hz. I am really considering investing in this radioshack adapter, I just hope it lives up to the hype.

if i understand that topic, the probleme is the usb rate,
hum... i have a question, is ti possible to find a converter(like ems) that is connected to the computer by another port like the port com and not the usb port??or is it possible to find an other converter USB/(another port)like db9 or db25 ??
that is the real question i suppose

The Radioshack Adapters are godlike when the polling rate is put on 1,000 hz. The main thing to be warned about is that they don't support dance pads, but there is a Stepmania hack out that allows for it to work with it.

I have the GameOn one and I just got an LPT one... well I haven't put it up to 1,000 yet... I'll totally give that a shot when I get home.
