I'm sorry no one answered your question.

I use a program calld BMS/E creator which works quite well for me. Some disagree, but I'm not suer what they're using. If you can't find it, I'll send it to you. It's not... or shouldn't be too hard to find.

You'll also need something called BMPlayer to test it out because BMS Creator won't play the files.

It's noot very hard to make one really.... the hard part is patiance, it takes a while. You have to have all of the audio tracks (The raw audio) of the song, not just an MP3. Then you cut diferent parts upp and then you put them where they're suppose to go in the file using BMS Creator or whatever. You also have to place the nonused ones (ones that will be used in harder modes but aren't seen in beginner mode) in another area.... gee...If I can figure out how, I'll make a tutorial on how to do it.

I wonder if I can use Fraps for that.

Once you make one, you'll REALLY appreciate the games and the work that goes into makeing them because it takes a while.... or you can just put an MP3 for the background sounds and then place blank notes for nonkeysounded files in there.

Oh yeah, it can't be MP3, either .wav or .ogg. Yeah I will make a tutorial vid on it when I have some time and figure out how to record stuff.

good info.

also, i highly doubt there is any way to make beatmania pocket sim files =)
maybe there is, but i'm sure it'll be kinda difficult to upload it to the thing. or did you mean you want to recreate the 8-bit songs for use in a pc beatmania simulator?

username64:
It could be very tricky, but it's possible. If the beatmania pocket has a headphone jack, the audio could be recorded that way (connect it to a PC's line-in and record with a sound editor).

Also if the charts are identical to the original versions, just borrow a notechart from an existing BMS of that song.

Dreamcube017:
I thought BMSE supports WAV and MP3, but not OGG. Or is the version I have outdated?

BMSE is the preferred BMS creation program, it's here:
ttp://ucn.tokonats.net/software/bmse/

I'd also recommend uBMplay to test the BMS files:
ttp://ucn.tokonats.net/software/ubmplay/

Scroll down the page to see the download links, and choose to install both programs to the same folder for best results.
