Looks like the lockout thing was a driver issue because it doesn't happen anymore... ALL the keys on my USKOC work fine with a Super Joybox 3 (and they got cheaper too by the way) but at least for me there's still a little lag.... I have to put offset to like a -14 on BePachi-music. I can still play for the most part though. Before, I couldn't even play.

So yeah, works pretty good.

Man, you dug this up out of the darkness for real yo!

problem is that Super Joybox 3 is a USB solution

I was looking for a parallel solution which I am now convinced there is none

Depends on your motherboard. My PC at home can only go up to 500 Hz without problems, my PC here can do the Super Joybox 3 on 1000 Hz. If it's a US controller, though, 250 Hz is your limit I'm pretty sure.

I use a Super JoyBox 3 Pro with a USC, and turning it up to 500mhz at 2ms response is dead on in LR2.

on my pc 500hz and 1000hz leads to bizzare mistimings on my uskoc, on my roommate's anything above 250 doesn't even work

I'll have to test on a different sim but on my PC at home it seems to work but some lag. But all the buttons including the turntable work fine.
