Make sure there is NO diode between pin 9 of the DB-25 and pin 5 of the PS2 port.
Now you have a working KOC on LPT :p

I REALLY want to use my IIDASC for simulation, but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen anytime soon at the rate I'm going.

It only makes the current become bidirectional on one pin on the pc side.

Total Tokens: 9,465.17 Donate Tokens | It appears that normal PS2 controllers work after you press that little button with the light on it... but IIDX controllers have no such button so they can't be "turned on"... Ok... so if there is a diode there... how would we remove it?? Sorry, I'm kind of new to wireing and thigns like this. Thanks.

EDIT: Man, nothing ever comes easy to me it seems.
It appears to take it out you'll have to resolder something. Some of you may laugh when I say that but you have to remember that not everyone here is a pro a circuitry... Hmm...
Well this may help a bit. How to mod a PSX/PS2 controller to your parallel port
Does anyone have a parallel port that worked with a IIDX US controller right out of the box? Thanks.
EDIT: So I'm guessing by the title that this happens regardless of the controller being from the US or Japan then... Hmmm. How would I even tell if a diode were there or not. Man, I was so hoping this would work.
