Generic videos\6th style - Club.mpg

DJT CS uses a longer version of that video for HELL SCAPER, but they didn't also include the normal-length version for other songs that use that particular generic video (which they usually do), so I missed it before.

I think a lot of people have looked for an archive of MPG videos for IIDX. So now, we just need to convert the videos and place them into the BMS files? Then a new archive can be made with complete BMS+Video...

Huge, but it would be epic.

Hey Jeff thanks for this stuff, glad to see someone else out there has added to the IIDX simfile project. I won't use this personally but I'm glad that someone else did the work for everyone that does.

Here I'll sticky this thread too.

Is there a way to off-set when the video plays back in LR2 (w/o adding blank space into the video via editor program)?

The default is off for some videos.

If the video is too early, add extra 00's to the command, like this:

Code:
#00004:0001
That will start it halfway through the measure

Code:
#00004:00010000
That will start it 1/4 through the measure

etc, just play around with it

If it's starting too late, that's a little trickier. The easiest way to do this would be to add this command:

Code:
#00002:2
which, in this case, will make the first measure last twice as long as normal.

This is fine if there's no other notes in the first measure, however, if there are notes in the first measure, you'll have to pad every command in the measure with extra 00's at the beginning for everything to sync up.

This is pretty easy if you're doubling the first measure like the above example, in which case you just double the notes in the first measure by padding each command with 00's at the beginning. Otherwise you'll have to do some math and/or play with it to get it to sync up, which can be a huge pain in the ass if the video starts at a weird time.

what if I don't want it to start during the first measure? For example I'm trying to sync the BRIGHTNESS DARKNESS avi and the video needs to sync with the start of the music not the few measures of silence at the beginning.

Just put it in a different measure, rather than measure 000, like this:

Code:
#00104:01
That will start it at the start of the second measure (000 is the first, and BMS files can support up to measure 999)

Ah ok! I think I'm starting to understand the code now

I got perfect sync with the code

Code:
#00104:0001
Thank you so much! It will be quite a task to get these videos implemented, but I am very grateful for you having uploaded these into one place.

A question about the AVI encoding. I noticed that the included songs with LR2 do sometimes use the MPG format. Why do those work and the ones we're using from your site not working as is?

They should work as is, but in most cases the aspect ratio will be wrong or the video will be too small to fill the screen. The easiest program to fix this is VirualDubMod, which only supports saving to AVI. You can convert the resulting file to MPG if you'd like, though, and that should work.

Is there a way to make the file sizes smaller? I don't want 50MB+ for each video :/

Use a lower-quality AVI file when you save it in VirtualDubMod, that's all I can really offer. The files on the site are gonna stay the way they are to keep the highest possible quality for people that want it.
