how do u turn on HS for nazo? the guide says its q and w but it doesnt work

I thought Nazo has it's own key that you press to bring up some modifiers menu during the song select. I could be wrong, but I swear that's all you had to do.

When I was playing Nazo, I had to assign keys for HS and Song speed manually, despite what it said in the manual.

Also, for the modifiers part as a whole, I had to fondle with the F keys to activate the mods.

Yeah the F keys do most of the mods, but I'll go and see how/where to assign keys for highspeed.

If I recall, the keys for high speed is either F4 and F5 or F6 and F7. Doubt it if I'm right because I use LR now. *shrugs*

nope. the F keys are for the mods on the bottom, and hs isnt one of it. =(

Oh yeah, I just figure it out when playing Nazo again:
Open up Nazo. When you see the pop window, go click the button under "Endless...1P...something" and "Something...Something...Something", and should bring up the key configuration window. You notice on the bottom left are ESC, TAB, Enter, Hi-Speed, 1P-, 1P+, 2P-, & 2P+. That bottom row is your Hi-Speed settings. Normally I play first player, so I use 1P- and 1P+ and set them to page up and page down when fouling around with Hi-Speed settings, but it's up to you. Hope this helps. :P

Yeah, I just realize the F4 and F5 keys are for LR Hi-Speed Buttons. xD

What worked for me is I just adjusted the key config and made HS some random keys that i'd remember and it works fine now.
