About the key registering, is it like a small lag between key press and sound play? BPM does have a 'Timing Offset' option in the configuration which can try to simulate that (it just moves the timing windows a certain amount).
It doesn't delay the actual sound, although I can add that in a later version.
Also I thought I heard somewhere that sherl0k was going to use an updated version of Solefald's OGG-based BMS packs? I've been working on something similar, but adding videos too (Recompressed to about 2.5 MB in size but still good quality) so the file size will be a little bigger.
But it is good to hear his BMS site isn't dead

However, there are sometimes when things fall slightly off sync... like, When the computer's playing the other hidden keysounds, it sometimes doesn't get them right on. Is that a problem with the simfiles or the program.
I'd crss test this with LR but I SERIOUSLY don't feel like setting that thing up because it's just TOO FREAKIN' long. With BPM, I just add songs, cache, done. No installing fonts and other stuff... I mean,, Do we REALLY need fonts for LR to work?
Anyhow, is there a gold theme that I missed for this game?

Thank you! I'll be making the 2D mode more noticeable on start-up (something I should have done some time ago)
Dreamcube017:
What songs have the hidden keysound lag? Or is it basically all songs?
I think the original LR has been abandoned, and was superseded by LR2. If you want, try that (from lunatic-rave.com).
It's a complete overhaul of LR1 (meaning none of the LR1 themes will work on LR2). The frame rate tends to be quite low for me, although LR2 does use fonts already installed on XP-based computers, so at least it starts up.
The last I heard, shinnohara was working on a GOLD theme for BPM, but I think he was waiting for me to add in updates to allow for more accuracy in places.

K, I'll check out LR2. The fact that it uses fonts already on XP is GREAT. Do I still need applocal? If not, then this is wonderful. I think the framerate issue may be because it was set for a more advanced PC? Maybe... I remember you saying your PC wasn't the best. Odd, LR1 worked on my laptop which wasn't all that great.

To get an example though, play a song on there then go play taht same song on the PS2 version... do it with a few songs... you'll see what I mean.
On the PS2 (or arcade if refresh is correct) everything is DEAD ON.

Try the TimingOffset option if it's the latter. Maybe setting that to a value of 15 ms might help?
And small non-download update...
I did add in a full combo animation and implemented a high score save file (saves score, EX score, grade, play/clear/hard clear, # of times played, and # of times cleared, separately for each song on each difficulty), but it's still buggy (the save file corrupts when BPM crashes) so I need to work on it a little more.

Total Tokens: 1,534.20 Donate Tokens | I'm having a VERY weird bug here. When I want to assign a button on my PEE in the settings it automatically assign UP when I press the left mouse button and DOWN when I press the right mouse button.
I then manually applied the setting using the config file. Now when I start BPM a lot of buttons randomly trigger depending on which mouse button I press. (And the controller doesn't register at all btw)
The TT and 7 button register when I move my mouse in the x-axis and the 3 and 4 button trigger when I move my mouse in the Y-axis.
I really have NO clue what could be causing this. nothing else is running and rebooting doesn't help. LR2 is not affected by this bug.

It might be a Joystick/Controller ID numbering issue, since BPM only reads from ID #1 (bad coding on my part). I'll try to make it scan all ID numbers.
I admit that the 'fixes' to the contoller configuration were really poor... I'll have to try a better approach.

And check the 'Advanced' tab for an option called 'Language for non-Unicode programs'.
Setting that to Japanese will allow the Kanji and other characters to be viewable (Re-boot maybe/maybe not needed).
But if it's already set to Japanese, then I'm not sure... If you prefer it set to another language, you can always use something like AppLocale to set certain programs to certain languages.

I've just been hesitant to post a 'nothing new, but soon' message, only to follow it up with yet another 'soon' post (That and the possibility of ;getting infracted for replying to my own post... not taking any chances)
The update will be worth the wait I hope (and it won't break any existing skins and themes).
Thanks for your continued interest
