And semi-update so far... DirectShow components are installed properly (I hope), so MPG/AVI support in the future is now a definite, in what upcoming version it will appear in just depends on ease of implementation.

My original plan was to use a certain something as a base for graphics (PrintScreen or something else), but my computer isn't compatible with that thing.
Also, I really don't want to go back to the inferior old theme (so many other sims have a much better arcade look), so I'll continue working on original themes.

As for other features, I'm looking forward to high score support, and possibly video support. If you could show the grade/DJ Level and total score (other than just "Stage Failed!" or "Stage Cleared!) on the results screen after playing a song, that would be cool, too!
Thanks for a great simulator, and I hope to see some (or all) of these features come!

Actually I hope to implement all of those features you mentioned above.
I'll just need some time to figure out the best way to add the things in before releasing the new features.
And I'll give the old themes another chance then

Good News: Progress is being made, and unless something bad happens, BG Movie support will be added into the next version. I'm finally figuring out how DirectShow works.
I'll probably use the #VIDEOFILE and #VIDEODELAY commands used by BMDX (Or was that SSR MAX?)
DirectShow seems to auto-handle a movie's frames per second, so #VIDEOFPS probably might not be needed (although I'll add it in eventually for a manual over-ride option).
Little by little, getting things done

I'm having a problem with this. I downloaded Happy Angel from IIDX12th on some site, and BPM can't find it. It's in
C:\BPM\Be-Pachi Music Complete v0.0422a\Songs\Various\HAPPY☆ANGEL
and the default song folder to search in is
.\Songs\
and also the song is in BME format if it matters. Anyone know why this could happen?

Is "Automatic Cache Update on Start-Up" option checked? (on "System" menu)
If not, try selecting the "Update Cache Now" option just below it. That will scan the Songs folder for any files, adding any it finds to the cache, and being visible in the song select list.
Also, does the .BME song contain keysounds, or is it non-keysounded (mp3 only)?

Edit: Yeah, it's on. Anyway, I downloaded another BMS file: Jupiter, and that one works. I'd still like to know what happened with Happy*Angel though.

I wonder if it's due to the unicode star symbol being in the folder name or file name, and unicode support not being activated.
Maybe try re-naming the folder/BMS to something without that star, and see if that fixes things.

That's something I will definitely add in an upcoming version.
