The multiple results screens/background should be very possible, I would just need to plan it out for easy implementation.
I've been avoiding any work on the new results screen lately. I'm saving it for last (Just because... no reason )
And, I definitely did npt meet my deadline of August 31. So, here's BPM's and its new Theme's current states of completion:
New Theme/Skin System: 99% (adding to it as I go)
New Title Screen+BGM: 99% (adding 1 more thing maybe)
New Song Select+BGM: maybe 70%
Main song play screen: 95%
New Results Screen: 0%
My mistake was trying to add in too many new things at one time.
And once again, I'll say "It will be ready in a few days". How many times have I said that? | The simulator is quite fun, and I am looking forward to seeing a results screen with an actual score! In addition, can you make it so that the highest score for each song (and stepcharts) is saved and displayed on the song select screen (like StepMania)?
Yet again, thanks for the simulator!!!

I'll definitely add in a best score for each BMS chart, but it won't be in the next version (to be released in the next 2 days I hope)...
Features like that are more likely to be added in the version after

Many many changes and improvements over last time. If I were to put everything here, I would get banned for spamming/token stealing
Instead, the changes are in the version history text: http://x-raise.cjb.net/bpm_dl/bpm_version_history.txt
This version contains a new theme to show off the improvements, and to show what's possible. Unfortunately, the large amount of changes mean that themes from previous versions of BPM are no longer compatible with this and newer versions.
It's available in RAR and ZIP form. http://x-raise.cjb.net/bpm_dl/bpm_complete_v0.04a.rar - 4.1 MB http://x-raise.cjb.net/bpm_dl/bpm_complete_v0.04a.zip - 4.8 MB Quote:

(Edit: I'll try looking for it when when I get home)
Edit 2nd mix: Also found something I forgot to add in... the 'Song Selected' sequence currently won't display text if it contains unicode characters.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | yay, lots of new stuff! the theme is decent, but i prefer iidx style themes. hopefully one will be released eventually
one problem i have is that the joystick config doesn't work for me, for the turntable. i used to use joytokey, and i guess i'll still use it now.
the problem is it only maps either the upward or downward movement of the turntable, not both. and both are mapped to up. i either have key15=22 or key13=22 in the config file. maybe you can tell me what number key13 (downwards on the turntable) is supposed to correspond to so i can get a quick fix?
also....
sorry to complain so much when there are so many improvements but the no animations option should really do no animations. the spinny cd thing still spins, but at least it's not annoying. however the little keysound filename flashing animation is really really annoying to me when i play.
keep up the good work, and keep cranking out updates! everyone loves updates. i'll be in heaven once there's a linux version

This current theme was created to help see what I needed to add to the program/skin system, and also to get away from using official images.
But, an improved version of the previous version's BMDX theme (and other themes) will be released eventually
rk_cr:
That's odd... it works fine with my 5-key controller, maybe I'll have to find a cheap 7-key controller and test it that way.
For now, if you're using a controller with a turntable mapped to 'up' and 'down' directions, try editing the Up/Down lines in the bpm_cfg.txt file's ControlConfig:
Up=6
Down=22
With those values, the turntable should hopefully work properly.
But still, I'll try for a better fix.

The error message happened when it was in the game mode and loading the .bms data. I haven't had any problems since then.
