Default Parallel port and adapter

My PS2 finally decided to die out, and so I was thinking of playing iidx via simulator until I can replace my PS2. I hear USB has terrible lag, but the parallel port does not. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good parallel port card that would be compatible with the one DAO supplies with his controllers. Also, if there's any good software used to map they keys through this port. Thanks.

Get the Super Joy Box 3 Pro for $9. It's USB but It has no lag and it's inexpensive.

There is noticeable lag though. USB converters all suffer from some lag due to the polling rates of the converters themselves (and the mobo)

I have a dao pop'n controller that came with an adapter, I can't get my KOCs working with it.

There is no way to get a pci card parallel port to work with the drivers that dao provides. The way that pci cards interact with the operating system and drivers is completely different from a regular parallel port. I found this out the hard way and had to return my pci card parallel port.

Luckily my old computer has a Parallel port on the motherboard. But it's so old that LR2 maxes out the CPU.

I guess if what AzHP says is true, I'll have to spend a fortune to upgrade that old CPU if I get a Dao.

I thought it was just my computer being weird but the same thing happens to me which is annoying :/ I'm still trying to install my controller on my new win 7 computer but it's not really working so far.
