For People Having Trouble Getting LunaticRave to Start...

alright, so i finally figured out what the mysterious problem is when LunaticRave pops up a window and then disappears again when you try to either 'play' or cache files.

the problem is with a missing font file 'FixedSys'. i thought this font was standard to all windows installs, but i guess i was wrong because i can't find it on my laptop.

i have edited the config file, available HERE to use the font 'ＭＳ Ｐゴシック' instead. this font is standard in the 'use east asian fonts' language pack which you need to have installed to run LR anyway. an alternative solution is to track down and install the 'FixedSys' font.

so i think these are the most common errors now:

ERROR'himawari' error on running config
SOLUTION make sure 'standards and formats' in 'regional language options' is set to 'japanese'.

ERRORwindow pops up but disappears again on running or caching
SOLUTION (method outlined above)

Other errors:

make sure standards and formats setting is correct.
make sure fonts for east asian languages are installed (second tab of 'regional and language options)
ensure AppLocale is installed and you are running config.exe with japanese locale.

How do we make it Japanese locale? I just right click on the config.exe file and then when I click on applocale, it ask me what I want to open it with. I just browse to the config .exe. I have JP fonts installed, but still get that error.

EDIT: I have endless music and am having that problem... I see the Fixedsys font but it still does it. Opening it with JP Locale just makes it so that I can't pick anything or no songs are cachesd. I can't figure out what's wrong. I have everything set to Japanese.

i didn't run applocale from the right click window, just try it from the start menu. When it asks what program to use to open it, choose the same one.

I know someone asked this already but it seems like the forum had been cleaned out. Is it possible to change the resolution of LR? i got a 32' monitor and it will look sick if i hook it up

I extracted the file to my LR folder, and ran it. but nothing happens? ( meaning, that the window still pops up and closes)

I'll try running it from the start menu but I don't know.

I set all windows in japanese when i use LR and it runs well, without problems and without applocale

I think you just have to set the region to Japanese. This way you wont have to use applocale either. The directory for which you put your songs in the jukebox tab matters too. You have to specify every mix folder, like
.\_songs\
.\_songs\IIDX\10th style

something like that. hope it helps
