[POC] HappySky Theme Creation for EM - Page 2

Hi Guys (sorry for the double post)

I need your help and I hope someone will ^^.
I'm working now on the music select and Music decide and I need a particular image of HappySky (and it's really impossible to take it from the game, to much work to do on it).

So I'm just wondering if there is some wallpapers of it somewhere... I serached for it but I think I don't know so well where to look...

EDIT: Sorry, Yeah I need the image on the background (clouds). And I need a bigger image of it... I mean during the decide phase this image is translated and so others details are shown on it. But maybe it's not possible to find it so I should probably take an another image of clouds

edit: yeah, i don't think we'll be able to find the exact cloud images used in HS. i found some good sky/cloud pictures using google image search, though. some may need image retouching, which i can do if you point out which ones you like and what you want done to them.

Just to prove that I'm still working on it ^^.

Ronji thanks again for your link, I take one of your pictures and I think the result is nice (tell me what do you think of it).

So what I did is :

- improving some stuffs in the OPENING DECIDE

- finish completely the DECIDE MODE phase (it looks really nice for me and I don't see what else I could improve).

- Start the Menu Music Select. This one is really boring because there is a lot of options and I don't know which one does what... And I would like also to launch an animation for each turntable change, but I have the impression that it is not possible to do it in LR. Such as have different font for the TITLE when it is a folder or a Song. And I thought about how make the BGA, and I think it's really "doable" to do it, it will just take me a long time to make it.

- Start the DECIDE MUSIC phase: I have to add some scaled animations but it's almost finished. The part the most boring for me will be to add all the option stuffs like AUTO-SCRATCH, Hi-SPEED etc.

Finally I notice a very stange thing, When I'm playing a song with a BGA all my skin becomes Green. Looks like that there is a bug in LR which didn't deal anymore with the GREEN color Transparency when a song with a BGA is played. This bug is really easy to fix but I'm lazy to do it right now (just have to change all my .bmp images in PNG or GIF and replace the GREEN color by transparency).

Ok, What I did is to improve each phase thanks to new images I got. I also resolve my bug of transparency by converting all my images in PNG.

For me the MODE DECIDE is completly finished.
In the Mode select there is is still this "bug" when moving the DECIDE border (I can't know which direction to move it) and I need to find a way to make the BGA (but it looks like too difficult to make it).

I need also your advise, Do you think it's a good idea to make the opening? (I mean don't use the avi file for it but make it because now I have all the images that I need). I don't know, it's maybe a loss of time but it will improve the quality (because LR can't play in a good way videos at 640x480 resolution and there will not have those writing from the Hack version...).

Now I'm losing so much time for the MUSIC SELECT phase (it's really difficult to understand which option do what). So I think I will give up the MUSIC SELECT phase (it's a waste of time as long as I will not have documentation for it...). By any chance, some of you know the mail of the creators of EM?

Oh also, I would like to know if someone had already done a good HappySky frame for LunaticRave? If yes could you upload to me and also give the mail of the creator (I think I need his/her permission to use it).

Hmm ported to LR2? I think it' not a really good idea, LR2 has a different "theme language" (not the same options, etc), so maybe it's better to start it from the begining and just only use the images and some time adjustements.

And for me LR2 is not so nice to do beatmania skin because a lot of phases was removed (like opening, etc). So I think it's better to make original skins with this simulator (but yeah it's true that it's really harder to make his own skin than just copy it from a game).

BTW, just to tell that I give up (for a moment) the developpment of my theme (I have really much more important things to do right now). I hope that I will still have motivation to do it after...

And yeah it's maybe pointless to continue it because some japaneses guys are working on it, so probably it will be release soon. But anyway, it was a good practice for me and I'm glad that some of you were interest of it. I will give you news later (when I will have some free time

) about the future of this skin.

Finally if someone is interested to continue it and need some explanation about EM theming, I will be glad give some explanations.

sad to hear about the stop/pause in development, but yes thanks for the work you put in thus far.

might i ask who are these japaneses guys? are they on another forum?
