Default Which PS2 converter to use?

Okay, I've read countless threads here but I still can't come to a good conclusion. Currently I use a radioshack psx to usb converter, and it hasn't really worked as well for me as it has for others here. I have the polling rate set at 250Hz, and what's strange is I get very, VERY miniscule lag in BePachi, but Lunatic Rave gives me lag that renders it unplayable. Also, I use a USKOC. Should I snag a parallel converter, or a different USB converter, or what? Thanks.

I use a radio shack converter as well, and although there is noticeable lag on lunatic rave, I just simply adjust the timing and it works dead on.

I'm using a dj dao btw

The radioshack usb converter works perfectly to my understanding, because I own one myself. It even works with the ps3. I heard pelican has a usb converter that has barely any lag, but you might have to research about it before buying it.

Adjust the timing? Are you talking about the polling rate or something else?

Chemist is talking about the adjustable timing feature on Lunatic Rave, which lays in the system tab of the config.exe and second box from the top.

Hmm... I've done that too, set to 8ms at 125hz and 4 at 250hz and still get bad lag. D: ugh

Do parallel adapters get any lag?

I think I had to set it to something crazy like 30 for it to work

But it works non the less. Keep trying, your usb converter is fine
