Ps2 to PS3 Controller

Second, i dunno if this goes here but it's related to simulation (in a way actually)

recently i bought a ps3 and my question is if i can use my BMIIDX US controller on my ps3 with this converter

Anyone knows if there's a compatibility issue,lag or smth? I don't want to be forced to buy a ps2 :S

Don't! Just don't buy this! You need a PS button to start or activate your controller, remember? Your PS3 controller has that button in the middle to activate and sync the controller. Just using a usb device doesn't take care of this problem. There are usb devices with the button on them. You should be looking for those!!

Hey genius, did you read? I'VE USED THAT EXACT ONE WITH MY CONTROLLER ON A PS3 AND IT WORKED PERFECTLY.

You guys are both right in a sense. The PS button is necessary if he wants to play PS2 games on his PS3 using a PS2 controller. The PS button syncs the controller configuration to the system. While this may seem ideal for games that use special controller like IIDX, there are lag issues making it ineffective for a game that requires extreme precision. If your going to be playing a PS3 game with the controller converter you linked, it will work flawlessly.

if you don't care about the hideous amounts of lag you will be subjected to, go right ahead, it works fine, any controller that works fine in your PS2 should work with the converter, prodygee, there is a PS button when you use a converter, all converters have a PS button on them...
