No wonder I didn't get the error, I was using the 3D mode
But I found out the problem. It's the line
#VIDEOFILE movie.avi
appearing in the BMS file, and no 'movie.avi' file in the song's folder. Removing that line from the BMS files will fix it (or an easier way is to use the 'Hide BGA' option on the start-up window's Display menu)
villadelfia:
LR2 seems to be looking for a custom tempo change in that BMS and strangely enough, it's not assigned at all (causing the weird behavior). Adding this line to anywhere in the BMS fixed it for me:
#BPM01 270

Reason: Oops! Typed wrong tempo amount

Also, why are there a few songs that LR2 gets the difficulties wrong on (I mean normal hyper another)?
I fixed that with the built-in tag editor, but now when I look none of the other files have tags for it...

What did you do to fix it? I'm interested to know
villadelfia:
Does it happen on songs that have identical ratings for different difficulties (That is, one song having a 8-star Hyper and 8-star Another)?
In that case, I wonder if LR2 checks the file name and compares them alphabetically (just a guess, I'll try that out later to confirm).
If it's for songs with different ratings for each difficulty level, then it's a mystery to me

It's pretty much almost unplayable. I'm using Be-Pachi Music with the DistorteD theme so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Apparently the problem with it is that it's missing a key tempo change. It should jump up to 300 bpm on the second beat of the song, but that's missing in the file. I fixed the .bme files to correct this. MAX 300 bmes.zip
Just replace these with the existing .bme files.
I think they should be right now, not 100% sure though.

Both songs end immediately after they start; there is no scoring screen or anything, and there don't appear to be any missing files in the folders. All of your other files seem to work fine, so I am wondering if anyone else has this problem with these particular files
edit: I tried the files on SSRMAX and they seem to work fine... what could the problem be?

I tried the java program that a user made in ur bbs, but it didnt work. im stuck having to manually drag all the ogg into the oggdec.exe
Also Tizona d'el cid doesnt work on SSRMAX, but thankfully works on be-pachi.
good work on the site and glad that you fixed 5 pm eternal as it didnt work a year ago, but ur move of converting most sim files to ogg might have fixed the keysound issues and bugs
