Default SSRMAX

I spent hours of searching the solution on my problem, but noone were able to help me. I have ssrmax-english. When I want to cache folder with music the ssrmax crashes. I set compatibility to W98,W95 and even W2000 but without any resoults. I always have the same error from windows. "The application will be closed". I am using WXP with SP2. Please help me with this big problem. Thanks in advance.

P.S. sorry for mistakes in my english

Hi,
I had the same error sometime ago. It was one of my BMS Directories wich conflicts the cache maker program. So, try to make a cache of some bms (3 or 4) and look if it works.

If it doesn't work, sorry, I can't help you.
Maybe try an another simulator (LunaticRave is the best for me)

Owww, you're not lucky with the cache maker ^^.
Did you enter a good directory in the jukebox tab?
The directories must be like this:
Choosen Directory\BMS Directory\file.bms

And an another question, when you launch LunaticRave.exe (without make the cache), what happens? (I mean did you have a black screen or the selected menu without song?)

Here's what I do when I register folders and cache. It's not much of a hassle since I rarely need to cache. I like the simfiles I have now.

Anyway.

To register a folder, make sure the Compatibility is turned off for SSRMAX.exe. Open it, and register the folders you want.
Now when you're gonna cache your songs, turn on the Compatibility for SSRMAX.exe to Windows 2000, open up SSRMAX.exe and cache your songs.

From there, be sure that the compatibility for SSRMAX3DX.exe and SSRMAX3DXforSSE2.exe are both set to Windows 2000 as well and run the program. Your simfiles should work.

Also, I'm not so familiar with Lunatic Rave since you have to change some settings just to allow it to work on your computer. It's a bit more of a hassle, but at least LR is still a work in progress. Unlike SSRMAX which Konami actually directed the creator of it to cancel are future work of it.
