SSRMAX argh!!! Help please

I am trying to set up SSRMAX on my computer, however, I am having problems starting it. I remember reading a different thread about starting SSRMAX, hoever, I can't find it anymore. I cached the songs and such but when I press play, the an error pops up for SSRMAXforSSE2.exe. Can anyone help me fix this?

Life with SSRMAX would be easier if there was a guide for it . Thanks!

Did you make sure to set the compatibility to Windows 98?

Right-Click on the .exe of SSRMAX

Properties

Go to the tab to the left

You should see something mentioning compatibility

Set it to Windows 98

It should work just fine

Yeah I did do that... I read the faqs on the outphase site too but it doesn't seem to help.

Did you try 2000?

That error message usually only pops up for compatibility issues..

nope. Tried it but it still didn't work. I tried it on another comp and it says that its performing an illegal action...

Don't use SSRMAX. I had the same problem as you, and there is NO way to fix this problem, even with changing the compatibility.

Try to use BemaniDX, I use this as a simulator for beatmania IIDX now, and it works very well on my computer (after I played a song on the BMS folder). Try downloading it and see it if it works.

i suggest trying LR. Before i got lunatic rave working i tried SSRMax but i had the same problem. i spent my time getting LR to work rather than SSRMAX...
