SSRMAX Installation Guide

You know, there are a couple of posts out there that said, "How do I get SSRMAX to start?" I'm going to show you how to install SSRMAX the correct way.

You'll need:

1: AppLocale
2: Registry Key
3: SSRMAX

and at least 1-2 BME files.

On to installing:
1: Extract SSRMAX to the hard drive.
2: Install AppLocale, then unzip and install the registry key.
3: Download 1-2 BME files.
4: Extract the BME files to SSRMAX-English/SSR/MUSIC
5: Convert the .ogg file on the chosen BME (if there is) to WAV.
6: Open SSRMAX-English/SSRMAX.exe; right click it, then Locale Japanese.
(this is important because you will not understand certain Japanese encodings)
7: Once opened, cache the songs by registering SSRMAX-English/SSR/MUSIC/*** (any file)
8: Cache the songs by make cache, then start.
9: Enjoy!

Thanks a bunch! I think the only thing I had to do was download the Registry Key, and it worked! Now I need to find a good (free) ogg to wav converter... (I know I'm cheap but I have no money...)

EDIT: NO! SSRMAX works fine until I plug my BM controller in, then when I try to start it it gives me the needs to close error... help please...

I'm using an EMS USB 2 with BM US controller. I plug it in, SSRMAX doesn't start. I unplug it, it starts. I plug it in, it doesn't start. I know the problem is the controller.

oggdec - converts OGG to WAV - FileFront.com

From Sherl0k's filefront page, this works perfectly. Just drag the ogg onto the file and it converts it to a wav file and places it in the same folder as the ogg.
