Default SSRMAX playing right scratch?

Is it possible to do in SSRMAX? I have another simulator that doesn't allow it and before I DL this one and get it going, will it work for me? Thanks so much!

Yes, you can play the 2P side, with the right scratch. Just press one of the player 2 side keys (I don't know if they're automatically assigned, but if they are, they'd be: m, k, comma, l, period, semicolon, and slash) at the title screen. If the P2 side isn't assigned, then you can set it by pressing the spacebar at the title screen.

More information on that is over here.

Sweet - just did it. Now my only other problem is that when I use the scratch, that little "light pillar" doesn't shoot up from the scratch like it does when you press a key. Any thoughts?

Um... I think that depends on what scratch you assign the scratch button to. On the assign screen, there's the scratch that takes up the left side of the turntable, and then there's the right side. I'm pretty sure assigning the key to the left half will make the column light up.

Sweet - thanks.

Now we have a new problem. I get a C++ runtime error on SSRMAXsort.exe or something whenever I cache the songs. And whenever I try to cache songs with [][][][] names like that in the title (I think Japanese characters that my computer doesn't read), it gives an overall error that requires the program to stop the cache. Thoughts??

Ooh. I'm not totally sure about this. So here are a couple of possibilities:

Did you enable W98/ME compatibility mode for all of the executable files in your SSR directory?

If you did, then you might have to enable East Asian language support under Regional/Language settings in the Control Panel, which requires your Windows install disc to copy the files from.
