Default Syncing LR2, having issues.

Okay, so recently I d/led Lunatic Rave 2, and I must say, I'm impressed. Looks absolutely sexy and the gameplay is spot on...except the songs don't seem like they're in sync AT ALL. I'm caught wondering if the songs are off or I just plain old suck. Any tips/suggestions/constructive comments would be immensely appreciated.
I got my sims from bms.bemaniso.ws, if that helps.

Do you mean an audio lag? You go to the System Options to configure it. However I can't for the life find the right spot so I just leave Judge Auto Adjust on auto.

At least I think that's what it is.

Right, I know about that, but I have the same problem. Would Auto-adjust + auto-play do anything at all?

No, I don't think it will. If that worked, then it would be able to auto adjust without playing a song.

That's true, I don't know what I was thinking when I asked that. I guess I'll just wait until I get better at IIDX and order a KOC. That way, I can actually hear when my fingers are hitting the keys lol. Thanks guys.

Well my friend, there's a few things to take into consideration. Are you using a KOC controller, or a keyboard. (you may have to adjust your USB bus speed to help fix that.) Cache the songs after you install any new songs. I don't know if it helps, but it can't hurt. But from what I've gotten from playing, it's never going to be as exact as the AC/CS versions. I just don't think the IIDX simulation scene is as big as things like Stepmania, so you're probably better off shelling off a few clams on the PS2 versions.

I figured that the sim wouldn't be as good as the actual PS2 versions but never did I expect the timing to be THIS bad. I think I'm going to cave in and buy a JP PS2 and one of the older styles (hopefully 7th). Oh, and I was using a keyboard. Not the greatest way to play, I know, but it's all I got. lol

twotone8 posted a link to an input lag tester on another thread here...use that and set the timing adjustment accordingly

EDIT: Here is the link

Thanks very much

EDIT: it doesn't seem to be working. My lag is 1.49 ms, which in theory, should allow me to get flashing Greats when I play the note spot on. I'm pretty good at Stepmania, I know I'm not this off. Any other suggestions?

The default setting for the Judgement adjustment (or Input interval) on Lunatic Rave 2 may be set to +16ms. Also, check the Judge rank of the song you're playing, as Normal seems to be more strict than IIDX. Most songs are set to Easy though, so that probably isn't the problem.

It depends on your controller and also the song, some songs will be off alot when it would be working fine for a different, im not sure why it happens, but for me i used auto adjust till it felt right then turned it off, and all the songs were in sync.

I would suggest finding a song you know practically by heart, then find a zero point to work with (like using the input lag tester), then adjust accordingly depending on how well you did.
