Default It thinks my song is 5-key...

I'm kinda new to the Beatmania simulating world, but I'm already working on a song. Everything seems to be going fine and working as it should, except that for some reason the game labels my song as "5k" instead of "7k". Because of this, the sixth keysound is moved over to the turntable and the seventh is omitted completely. How can I fix this?

What are you using to make your BMS?

Also, what are you using to play it?

I ask because there are 5-key and 7-key BMS Creators, and some BM simulators might have a default of 5-key instead of 7-key.

I'm playing it on Delight Delight Reduplication, and I'm making it with notepad (there are BMS makers? Wow.)

That's hardcore!

Although I also use Notepad for plenty of my BMS making

But... BMS coding is a little weird. It originated in 5-key, where the 6th column was assigned to the turn-table.

Later when 7-key songs were made, the BMS coding assigned 2 new numbers (but kept 16 as scratch for compatibility reasons)... in this case, that's the 8th and 9th column, or #xxx18/#xxx19.

'BMSE' seems to be the most used, and the most recently updated of the BMS editors. Just scroll down to the 'download'.
