Hey guys. I was wondering if a PS2 to serial converter would work any better with a US IIDX controller than a PS2 to USB one would. I have a USB one now and it actually works pretty good, minues a few miliseconds of lag and the turntable's not all that bad either. But what I need to know is if I get a serial port on my new computer and get a PS2 to serial converter and plug my USKOC into it, will I get any noticable improvement or not? If I will get improvement, will I be able to configure it just like the USB ones with Joy2Key or something like that? Thanks. Thanks in advance.
I am assuming you mean a parallel port adapter when you say serial port. I remember reading somewhere that USKOC's will not function with a parallel port adapter somehow due to their cheap circuit board. I have an EMS USB 2.0 and it is really terrible so I ordered a parallel port adapter and I will try it out on both JKOC and USKOC and report back as to its functionality and whether or not it's worth a damn.
So does anyone have any news on this yet? If a paralell connection will work better with a JP KOC then I'll just get that and a converter that works that way. What do the DJ Dao ones work with? Are those only for PS2? Thanks.
If you want a very good USB adapter , Super Joybox 3 Pro is the way to go , no lag, no worries , it's only like $8 and shipping from playasia.com was only $3 !! (and i live in Hawaii) . lol
