Umm.. Once you select PnM from thr game switcher doe the first time, you have to set thr thrme to "PnM" or "Stepn"...

I have been playing pop'n with step'n music for a while now, and absolutely love it I just have one problem, and I guess it's about time I try to fix it... If I use my pop'n controller to play, the theme breaks a little bit; this only happens if I use the pop'n controller to start the game. If I use the keyboard to start game, it doesn't happen... But then I can't use the pop'n controller to play
Basically the difficulty banner is too big, and covers certain parts of the song wheel (and no highscores are shown), and while playing a song the banner covers a part of the screen (upper half of the right white "lane") and there is no life bar/meter.
Does anyone know if there's an easy fix to this? It's still fully playable, but not seeing the life bar and the highscores at the song selection wheel is a little
I'll try to upload a screenshot or two later on, really appreciate any help!

Well.. I don't know what to do with this kind of situation, especialy that I do not own a PnM controller.

Well, the original creator isn't here right now and none of us ever played with a PnM controller. DX

Thanks for the reply, I really have no clue how to deal with these things myself Another glitch with it is the character display, and something I noticed as I made the screenshots; the actual combinations of pop-kuns(i hope i got that right ) are different as well! This is really strange
Uploaded three pictures where the differences are apparent, first one is of the game mode screen, where there is no yellow line around the selected mode...
Second one, song wheel, several things being weird, and third one in game at a song, also several weird things
Happy for any help or ideas or anything

Now THIS is screwed up. DX Sadly, I do not know how to fix that. (I jsut only know how to make characters. DX)

BTW that Timer + Suisei Laura character is supposed to be for the CLASSIC Step'n Music game.

(But oh well. In the future i'll give those guys BGs.)

Problem solved! I can't believe it, but it works! I was going for a long shot, trying some things, and it turns out one of them worked.
I had mapped the controller's buttons to the right column in the controller settings, and putting them in the left column instead solved it :O I dont know if the right column is the "second player controller", and if that caused the problems...
I noticed a lot of the ini file lines only had player1 parameters, so if it was the "second player" that would make sense, perhaps *_* I dont know any of this for sure though, I just know that I have a fully working step'n now, after a few months

If you downloaded my characters, you put them in the Characters folder. Songs (can be StepMaina simfiles) go to "Songs > *Insert series folder*"...
