best drummania conrtoller?

Im looking to buy one, but ive also heard on here you can use an electronic drumkit as a dm controller is this true?

If I was a mod I wouldn't lock this. It could be moved to the Drummania thread, but other than that, It's actually a useful thread.

The Konami and Topway controllers are pretty much the bottom end of controllers next to using a dual shock.

You can however use a drum kit. The Ion kits are relatively affordable <$200 depending on where you look for it. And all that is needed is a midi to usb adapter.

There is a Yamaha one, (I dont know the model number, but it's on a thread somewhere) and ive seen it for about $40 at the cheapest. The reason I say get that one is that the cs versions have the proper drivers to play the kit on a ps2.

So it will cost a bit to get a decent set up. I'm saving up for it myself, so I can tell you how well it works when I get it.

Redxxx I was planning on buying one of the better electronic drum set that would work with drum mania not just a controller. I made the thread more for drum kits then controllers.
