Is there really someone who is actually really good at this game. It seems to me kinda waste of time to learn to play this doremi mania with a keyboard when you could actually learn to play the instrument.
Well, I am yet to see anyone that owns in this game Post here if you consider yourself a pro in doremi mania.
i've learned to play the instrument, and i don't feel that doremi mania (or keyboardmania, for that matter) would be a waste of time at all. It's a completely different way of playing a keyboard.
Yes, but since you play the instrument you must know that playing doremi mania may and does encourage playing with completely faulty technique and may well be very damaging to your actual playing technique and even lead to hand injury like tendonisis or such...

By playing doremi you ARE learning to play the instrument. Maybe not reading notes and such, but you are learning the layout of the keyboard and how to cordinate your hands it. Besides its just a game, how can it be a waste? If you think like that you could argue that ANY game is a waste since you could just do what happens in the game yourself.
And by the way I consider myself pretty decent in doremi having played the keyboard before and also Keyboardmania PC and PS2.
So lemmee get this straight. DoReMi Mania is actually a keyboard???
I don't know what you mean but Doremi Mania is a freeware version of Keyboard Mania. Keyboard as in musical keyboard. Both Doremi Mania and Keyboard Mania are meant to be played with musical keyboards. But Doremi Mania can be played with a computer keyboard.

um, what?
i'm sure that learning any instrument independently with no guidance may lead to bad technique that causes physical injury. but how does playing keyboardmania/doremi mania have anything to do with physical injury? it's only used to read the notes to play...it's not a relevant factor at all.
The only "bad" thing about the game is probably the fact that you're learning an uncommon way to read notes...but reading notes isn't always necessary, so it may not be bad at all.
I doubt you get more physical damage by palying keyboardmania than the one you get by playing Guitar Freaks or Beatmania (Carpal tunnel FTW). And sicne it makes no difference to play a song in the game (Real of coruse) and playing it on a KB I fail to see how you are going to lose technique, at most you will play like if playing Beatmania (Saw a guy doing this) because you ahve never palyed a piano before.

Well on the topic of MIDI keyboard. I have one and have it connected to the computer, im pretty sure its recognized by DoReMi as i can see it in the MIDI Device list, although i think that may actually be the MIDI -> USB adapter. Anyways, I press enter to select it from the MIDI Device list and it brings me back to the main menu, thinking this is going to work properly now i go to key settings and try to press the keys to set them, but theres no input (And yes i have PC Mode turned on for my Keyboard). Anyone have a step by step guide for how to make midi keyboards work with DoReMi mania??
It just does. DoReMi is set to accept midi data automatically. You select the keyboard as input/output and without using the key config it will be detected and work (meaning you can use the qwerty and midi keyboard at the same time). C-5 on the keyboard is the same as the first C in the game if you play singleplayer.
