doremimania issues...

Hi,

I really liked this game very much.. but have few queries

1) In some screenshot (available on net) i can see extra modes like SPARTA, LESSON in
between VIEWMODE and MUSICSELECT. Unfortunately these extra modes are not
there in my version. Can someone please tell me where can i get this version which
has LESSON mode in it.

2) In skin folder i can see one bmp file "doremi_game_obj2.bmp" which has some
musical notations shown. Is there any way doremimania shows musical notations
also ? I really don't know just guessing by seeing "doremi_game_obj2.bmp". I hope my
guess is true.

Any idea or suggestion is most welcome.

I downloaded from GDAmania but it doesn't have LESSON mode

I can´t get my kbm controller recognised by doremi on WinXP. How can I get it??

And... when I use the PMS convertor I always get songs for a full keyboard. How can I make songs for a 2 octaves keyboard like the one in kbm?

ruboteca, how you have connected your keyboard ? Through midi cable or USB ?

midi cables had given me lot of trouble in recognizing keyboard. I suggest you to use USB.

Secondly install proper midi/USB drivers. Some times drivers are also culprit.

I can't say anything about pms converter. Since it is in Chinese/Japanese I could not understand much. I hope there will be English version someday

Its a pity we cant make 2 octaves songs... I want to play 8 & 16-bit games tunes in doremimania (specially Sonic genesis games) cos when you make the conversion to .pms they sound fantastic.

ruboteca, first your computer should recognize your keyboard then only doremi can recognize any midi events. Are you sure your computer recognizes your midi keyboard ?

Secondly, there are no drivers specially for doremi. Drivers are for keyboards, and keyboard manufacturer generally provides them along with keyboards. You can also download it from manufacturer’s site. For example i had received Yamaha USB drivers with my Yamaha keyboard.

I don't understand what do you mean when you say you want to make songs for 2 octaves !

1) Do you mean you want to merge a 5 octave song in 2 octaves? If yes, then this will be really weird and you will lose whose essence of the song. I don't think any midi application supports this.

2) If you mean there are other midi instruments in which are taking more than 2 octaves and you want to get rid of those? Then simply use any free midi editor, dissolve song into individual tracks and delete the tracks which you don't want.

When u play a song in beatmania, kbm, etc. you never play all the notes. I want to edit the pms to just play with kbm controller. Its pretty inaccurate in musical terms, but kbm dont try to make u play a keyboard, it just try to do something similar.

PS: take a look in gda to the final fantasy X 2-octaves song. thats what I want to do.

You can make any song into a Light+ song by opening it in the PMS Converter, checking the second option in the last tab and saving the new PMS.
