Alright, I've seen the question pop up on a few posts, so I thought i would give a brief guide on this. This is will allow you to use your Keyboardmania KOC for the PS2 to play DoReMi. For this you will need the following program:
1]
GlovePie (click link to download)
I know that there are other programs out there that do the same thing, such as Joy2Key, but I'm more familer with GlovePie. Also once you learn how to use GlovePie, you can make the keys actually play back midi notes if you wanted. It's a very neat program and if you have any questions on it past this post, please pm me.
***************IMPORTANT, READ THIS SECTION************************
WHILE THIS METHOD WILL ALLOW YOU TO USE THE KEYBOARDMANIA KOC TO PLAY DOREMI, WINDOWS XP DOESN'T REGISTER THE PITCH WHEEL. I CURRENTLY HAVE NO WAY OF FIXING THIS FOR YOU AND IF ANYONE CAN ELABORATE ON HOW PLEASE COMMENT WITH THE EXPLANATION. REMEMBER THIS METHOD WILL ALLOW YOU TO USE THE WHITE AND BLACK KEYS ONLY
************************************************** ***************
Ok so once you have downloaded GlovePie, extract the file into whatever folder you would like. I choose "C:\Program Files\GlovePie"
Now you will need to plug in your Keyboardmania KOC to your PC via the USB port. Windows should recognize this as a USB Multipurpose Controller.
Next, open GlovePie.exe and delete the line beginning with "//", then copy and paste the following code into GlovePie
//This script was written by Chris Whitley.
//
//This will allow you to use your Keyboardmania Controller for the PS2
//With the DoReMe simulator. THe Pitch wheel doesn't regester on the pc
//which means it is unable to program in at the moment, sorry!!

Key.A = joystick.Button7
Keyboard.W = Joystick.Button8
Keyboard.S = Joystick.Button9
Keyboard.E = Joystick.Button10
Keyboard.D = Joystick.Button11
Keyboard.F = Joystick.Button12
Keyboard.T = Joystick.Button13
Keyboard.G = Joystick.Button14
Keyboard.Y = Joystick.Button15
Keyboard.H = Joystick.Button16
Keyboard.U = Joystick.Button17
Keyboard.J = Joystick.Button18
Keyboard.K = Joystick.Button19
Keyboard.O = Joystick.Button21
Keyboard.L = Joystick.Button22
Keyboard.P = Joystick.Button23
Keyboard.Z = Joystick.Button24
Keyboard.X = Joystick.Button25
Keyboard.N = Joystick.Button26
Keyboard.C = Joystick.Button28
Keyboard.M = Joystick.Button29
Keyboard.V = Joystick.Button30
Keyboard.Dot = Joystick.Button31
Keyboard.B = Joystick.Button32
Now that your copied the code into GlovePie, you should save it to you PC. Click File>Save As. I named mine "Keyboardmania", but you can call it whatever you want. Once you are done saving it, click the RUN button at the top to initiate the program. Once you click run you can minimize GlovePie.
Now you will need to change your key configuration for DoReMi so that it gets the correct inputs from GlovePie
Open DoReMi and goto Key Set. Got down to OCT 3 and press enter, then press the first 12 notes on the keyboard from left to right in order, included the black keys. This should fill in OCT 3 as the following
A W S E D F T G Y H U J
Now goto OCT 4 and press enter, then press the remaing 12 notes on the keyboard from left to right in order, including the black keys. This shoudl fill in OCT 3 as the following
K O L P Z X N C M V . B
Now your set to go. Enjoy
Once you've completed this, you should be good to go.
Please note that you will note need to do all these steps every time, this is just the initial setup. Once you've completed this, to use it again, just open GlovePie, then File>Load the program and click run and you'll be good to go
