Dance Freaks/Maniax Sims?

Is there any Dance Freaks/Maniax sims out there? Next to DDR it was one of my favorite dance games so some sort of sim would be nice.

you can use pydance. i made a dance maniax noteskin for stepmania once but it got deleted.

I can't find about half of the songs for Dance Freaks anywhere. Songs like Clon and Sechs Kies. Mad Blast just happened to be on DDR Ultramix.

There are no real sims for it because there isn't really a way to play it as its intended to be played.

Well that's too bad.

I'd at least want to play the songs on stepmania or something, but no one seems to make stepfiles for the Dance Freaks songs.

I agree. And as far as I know, there's no such thing as a DMX simulator. that would be nuts.

However, I will not distribute the mp3s because, well, that's against BMS policy.

I have simfiles for Dance Maniax 1st and 2nd mix. I'll upload them in a second. I remember seeing a video of a hacked DMX machine with stepmania running on it. They were having fun playing ITG Dmx style

. So I guess if you took the time to track down those sensors and hooked it up to your computer...

I'm pretty sure it was a really old thread on 6.0....? They enlarged the timing windows and it was actually pretty cool to play.

I beg to differ. Not many people could do this, but it's %100 possible. I'm waiting for it to come in to confirm it, but a PPP controller is the solution.

Wow! I didn't know that you could hack a Dance Maniax machine (or any machines like that)!

On the other hand, the reason why there are so few Dance Maniax sims is probably because there are very few (if any) controllers that aren't attached to official Dance Maniax machines.
