Default Para Para Stepmania

Hey, I was just wondering, how can I get my Konami Para Para controller to work w/ the Stepmania that features Para Para support?

Options>Config Key/Joy mappings

considering that you already connected it to a USB adapter

Well yeah. My computer recognizes it but I can't actually set the sensors to work with Stepmania. Do you know what I'm saying?

Like when I go to configure to set up the controller, I press enter to set the button, wave my hand over a sensor to set it to the correct one on Stepmania and nothing.

Kinda hard to explain over text..

You are aware that the PPP controller is already a USB controller.

It won't work in Stepmania 3.9, you need a CVS of the newer version.

I would assume the calibration dials wouldn't matter since I already have them set for my PS2.

I have Stepmania CVS 3.95. So in this case, what you're saying is that CVS 4.0 would work?

Yeah now that I remember 4.0 is the version that supports it.

So it supports it. Is there an addon of some sort that I have to download?

EDIT: Nevermind. I somehow didn't see the "select game" option. I was using old ass stepmania (3.0 final or something like that)

I don't see where your troubles with this is. Did you install Stepmania 4.0, or just copy it from somewhere? Cause when you install it, it also installs the drivers for your controller.

I have one, and the moment I plug it in, it recognizes and everything. Then I start SM 4.0, > select game > PPP then options > config key mappings > and do whatever you need to do to set it up. Thats it, and the knobs on the controller should never actually need to be adjusted.

I was using an super old ass version of Stepmania (3.0 final I believe...) and I didn't know that 4.0 CVS supports Para Para. Well, I downloaded it and plugged my controller in and it worked. Automatically recognized it and all. So it works good.

Oh, and how do I actually get 1x speed, 1.5x speed and so on instead of using only those "C" speed mods?

mods are coded in the theme, find them and edit as you will. plus ppp only has one speed mod: hi-speed (which i think is 2x)
