I just started to make some Pump simfiles and have done 3 DJMAX songs so far, "Memory of Beach", "NB Ranger", and "Flutter". The songs only have Crazy mode and are fairly difficult but not overly so (I can pass them all pretty easily). I wish someone who knows how, would make good steps to these for FS/NM and Half Double.

I think they are good quality and well done, but you can be the judge of that. Here's the link:

@BanYa4eVr: I tried your stepfile for "Ask A Favor Of The Wind", and I really liked it, well done! I can capture a good quality BGA for this from Trilogy and upload it if you're interested.

There's not a lot of songs up there because I tend to work on 20 or 30 files at the same time and forget about half of them. Most of them don't have easier (as in beginner style) charts because those aren't my style . I'm best at making charts between the levels 9~20 (NX2 standards).

Also I'm low on songs that I'd want to make stepfiles for.

I would get overwhelmed if I tried to work on that many songs at once. I just started trying to do this a week or so ago and I only work on one song at a time. I only do steps for Crazy level, I don't have the patience to do for the easier levels. Also, it takes me like 2-3 hours to do each song just doing the Crazy steps. Maybe I'm just slow in doing it, but it takes me a long time to get the steps the way I like.

I like a lot of the songs you have in your to do list, you should just focus on a couple at a time and get them done! I've been busy lately so I haven't had a chance to work on any more that I want to do. I have too many songs that I want to put steps to, but that is a different problem. I want to learn how to do FS/NM and Half Double steps too, but I just started getting into playing those modes, so I don't feel ready to try yet. I need to check out some of your other files, I think they would be good.

Only reason I don't make FS/NM charts is because I can't play them.

Yeah, I don't mean for playing on the keyboard or a controller or whatever. All the charts I'm making I play on my pads at home, and I'm just getting into playing FS/NM, so I want to have charts for those too. I also like the half double charts and that's one of the things I like about Pump Pro. I'm starting to get a feel for how doubles steps are done, so I might start trying to do some. I don't like playing on the keyboard or whatever and only do that for creating the steps and for testing. I always play them several times on pad as well and then tweak as needed. I can't imagine how long it's going to take me to make steps for songs, if I start doing for FS/NM and half double as well

I have a couple more DJMAX songs that I'm working on and will probably upload in a couple days (Feel by DJ Mocha and Save My Dream by Forte Escape).

The remix Moonlight Otada and the FS steps are very well done! I'm not very good at FS/NM yet and I'm terrible at songs with BPM slowdowns (otherwise I think I could pass Moonlight CZ), so I fail miserably trying the FS.

How do you do all these songs with the BPM changes and that other song full version one with all the stops in it? I don't like songs with BPM changes in them and avoid them completely and never did anything using stops, but would like to know how it's done.

How do you do all these songs with the BPM changes and that other song full version one with all the stops in it? I don't like songs with BPM changes in them and avoid them completely and never did anything using stops, but would like to know how it's done.

Well in the Stapmania3.9+ version I have...

Stops:
1. Make sure you have F-Lock like... ON lol.
2. In the song edit screen (where you can place steps and stuffs) make sure you already have the correct BPM and Beat-Offset punched in.
3. Use F9 to decrease stop time and F10 to increase stop time. (You should see different colored numbers on the left side of the track).

The amount of time that you need to use differs with what the BPM is, and how long you want to have it stopped before it releases into the next set of arrows.

To make stops seem like they're skipping, just double/quadruple the BPM in the area with the stops.

BPM Shifts:
1. F7 and F8 (I'm sure you knew that.)
For the complex ones, they require a little math ( god forbid D: ) and foresight.
The easiest way to see how it's done would be to just peek at some songs in the step editor.

As far as how I'm physically able to handle stops and BPM shifts, I usually do terrible on a sight-read first and then do better on the second play.
